She holds a Master of Political Science from Memorial University of Newfoundland, where she was honored as a Fellow of the School of Graduate Studies in recognition of her outstanding academic achievements. She furthered her legal education by earning a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Emory University School of Law, where she received special recognition from the Center for the Study of Law and Religion for her scholarship and contributions to the field.
